For its innovative capacity, its links with the productive fabric, the promotion of entrepreneurship and the creation of companies in the training centres themselves. Vocational Training that has been present in Álava for over 80 years, relying on two networks of centres: a public one called IKASLAN, made up of 12 centres, and a social initiative network one, HETEL-EGIBIDE, with 5 campus.

Four universities and two key scientific research centers: Lascaray and Micaela Portilla

In Álava, the universities UPV/EHU, UNED, Deusto-Egibide and Euneiz, run 60 university degrees covering a large variety of specialties in diverse areas: Engineering and Industry 4.0, Pharmacy, Humanities, Health, Sports, Digital Content and Creative Industries.
