The highest-class vehicle produced in Spain is manufactured by Mercedes-Benz in Vitoria.

Álava is home to Michelin’s largest industrial centre in Europe, spanning 430,000 m2.

Present in Vitoria-Gasteiz since 1966 and where some 3,500 people produce 195,000 tonnes of high-tech tyres, its large logistics centre in Araia, in the Álava Plains, covers 80,000 m2, can store 1.8 million tyres, and distributes 15 million tyres a year.  


At its factory in Rivabellosa, Álava, this firm builds high-tech train carriages for countries across several continents.

Manufactured at its plant in Álava is the lightest high-speed train in the world, the Talgo Avril, able to transport more than 600 passengers at 330 km/h.
