Glass manufactured in Llodio can be found in the facades of emblematic buildings around the world.
The Llodio factory started out in the mid-1930s, becoming one of the most important in Europe by the 70s. A few years later, this family-owned Basque company was acquired by the U.S. firm Guardian Industries. Throughout its history, Guardian Llodio has been characterised by a strong commitment to innovation and the use of environmentally friendly solutions in their manufacturing processes. Currently, this glass manufacturer primarily serves the architectural sector. Its flat glass can be seen today on the facades of emblematic buildings around the world, such as the Apple Research and Development centre in Yokohama, Japan, and One Blackfriars in London.
